Tarka Valley Railway – official opening of new shop & visitor centre

It was a pleasure to officially open the new shop and visitor centre at Tarka Valley Railway this morning to mark the completion of phase 1 of the project. The weather was glorious and a number of visitors were present and were delighted to get into the shop and make a purchase once the ribbon had been cut. Thank you to all the volunteers for a very warm welcome, without their hard work and dedication we wouldn’t have got this far. They are looking forward to obtaining permission for phase 2 from Devon County and Torridge District Councils, hopefully in the not too distant future.
