Rack Park and the Churchyard maintenance

For the past 5 years or so the Town Council has been contracted by Torridge District Council (TDC) to maintain both Rack Park and the Churchyard.  We have very much enjoyed working for the community in both of these areas and with local volunteers, in particular at Rack Park.  This arrangement will change form the 1^st April 2022 as TDC take over maintenance of all open spaces across Torridge.  The Town Council did formally request to maintain both contracts, but understand that the logistics of this would not feasible for the district council.  We have been assured that the quality of maintenance will be replicated by TDC and that they are looking forward to continuing to work with volunteers and for the community of Great Torrington.
