NOTICE OF VACANCY

IN OFFICE OF COUNCILLOR

GREAT TORRINGTON TOWN COUNCIL

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that due to the resignation of Councillor Siobhan Strode a vacancy has arisen in the office of Councillor for the above Town Council.

If by the 21 July 2021 (14 election days after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill the said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Town, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy.

The address of the Returning Officer is Torridge District Council, Riverbank House, Bideford, EX39 2QG.

A request for an election can also be scanned and emailed to elections@torridge.gov.uk and must contain a “wet ink” signature.

If no such notice is given, the Town Council will fill the vacancy through co-option.
