Today marks the retirement of two important members of our team. Firstly, our Town Clerk, Michael Tighe, who is retiring after over 20 years service, he will be sorely missed and has worked incredibly hard for our Town Council. And secondly, Mario Magarotto, who has given many years service taking care of Donnacroft football field and changing rooms.

A surprise get together was organised for Michael yesterday morning in the council offices where current and past councillors/Mayors and other guests got together to wish him a happy retirement. A few members then went to the Golf Club for a farewell meal for both Michael and Mario.

Thank you to both of you, the service you have provided Great Torrington Town Council has been second to none.
